Nani and Catherine Tresa New Telugu Film Paisa Movie Review:

Pasupuleti Krishna Vamsi, who is known for his message-oriented movies, is back with another wonderful theme in his latest directorial venture Paisa starring Nani and Catherine Tresa in leads. He throws light on how money has become everything for some people in the current world. But the director seems to have lost grip on the subject as he fails to engage and entertain the film goers.

Story:

Prakash(Nani) is a desperate guy, who wants to earn money and settle down. He works as a model for an old city Sherwani firm. A Muslim girl named Noor (Catherine Tresa) falls in love with him at first site. But Prakash is after Sweety (Siddhika Sharma) for some financial gains. He lands in a big problem, when he finds Rs 50 crore (Hawala money) in the trunk of his car. Who does money belong to? How the money came in his car? What will Prakash do with it? Will Prakash marry Noor? Answers to all these questions will form the crux of the story.

Artists Performance:

Nani has given brilliant performance in Paisa. With his matured acting, he impresses you in all kind of scenes like action, romantic and comedy. As Noor, Catherine Tresa looks cute. Siddhika Sharma, who has played second female role manages to impress with her glamour in a brief screen presence. Tabar tries his best to tickle your funny bones. Others like Bharath Reddy, Charan Raj, Raja Ravinder, Duvvasi Mohan and Raju Srivasthav have also done justice to their roles.

Technical and Other Departments:

Paisa has sound production values and Sai Karthik's soundtracks and brilliant background score are the main attractions in the technical front. Santosh Rai's camera work is another big strength of the film. Thiyagurajan's editing is good, but chopping a few unnecessary scene would have made the film even better watch. Other technical departments have done commendable job.

Movie Analysis:

Paisa is an action entertainer with a nice blend of romance and high entertainment quotient. Nani's performance is the main highlight in the film. Krishna Vamsi's brand new story, Sai Karthik's music, Santosh Rai's cinematography, Tabar's comedy timing and power-packed dialogues are other big strengths of the movie. A few unnecessary scenes, which bore audience, are its drawbacks.Krishna Vamsi, who wants to deal with Hawala and money laundering issues in a different way, has chosen wonderful story for Paisa, but he has failed to execute his ideas on screen. He tries to showcase how politicians squander their black money during the election time. Although he has added all the masala elements to it, the director could not hold the attention of the viewers. The reason is that his screenplay lacks interesting twists and turns to engage them. The movie opens with the title track 'Paisa' and it heads to show how two politicians competing to spend heavily to become MLA. The first half of the film has three beautiful songs, a chase scene and a few comedy moments. The movie runs on same pace and an interesting twist at the interval bang sets a momentum for the narration. However, the second half fails to carry forward this mood and it bores the audience.

Final View:

Overall, Paisa is a good commercial entertainer, but it is not upto the mark of Krishna Vamsi's previous ventures. Nani's performance is the saving grace in the film. You can watch the film, If you are a hardcore fan of Nani or Krishna.
